Morgan is a freelance sound engineer and musician based in Te Awamutu – a small rural town in the grassy meadows of the Waikato region, New Zealand. He has been working in the creative industry for 18 years as a music and sound recordist, editor, designer, and mixer. During this time he has worked in Film, TV, Radio, Music and Theatre in roles varying from Sound Designer, Sound Mixer, Dialogue & SFX Editor through to Musical Composer and Music Producer. Morgan is in high demand both locally and Internationally.
Since 2005, Morgan has worked in a wide variety of disciplines and has refined his craft with a passion for attention to detail. He finished work as part of the post production sound team on Peter Jackson’s Trilogy ‘The Hobbit’ in Wellington at the end of 2014, and has since relocated north to the Waikato region where he is working remotely with international clients from his home studio. In the past he has been part of large sound teams on films such as The Adventures of Tintin, District 9, The Lovely Bones and 30 Days of Night, and now operates his own studio.
