Torum Heng has been working in the screen industry for 14 years, predominantly as an actor, screenwriter, in casting and more recently as an acting coach.

Torum moved to the Waikato only a year ago, and has been fortunate to already have worked with some exceptional local actors in that time as both a Casting Director and Acting Tutor. Coaching Screen Acting for the graduating students at Te Kawau Toi (WINTEC) was a particular highlight.

Industry Experience

Torum has appeared in over thirty professional stage and screen productions, including regular roles on TV series' HEAD HIGH, GO GIRLS, THE BROKENWOOD MYSTERIES and in telefeature ABLAZE. Most recently she voiced fan favourite ‘Mucus’ in POWER RANGERS DINO FURY & COSMIC FURY, streaming on Netflix.

She has story-lined on FILTHY RICH, POWER RANGERS – DINO FURY and other shows in development. She has contributed as a comedy writer for THE PROJECT, 7 DAYS, individual comedians, written for SHORTLAND STREET and is the creator and lead writer of a new television series currently in development.

For the last 7 years, Torum has also worked extensively in Casting for commercials, TV and Film both in Aotearoa and Australia. Casting Assistant credits include MY LIFE IS MURDER, BLACK HANDS, DON’T MAKE ME GO, UNDER THE VINES, and SHORTLAND STREET.
