I am a recently graduated student from the University of Waikato with a Masters in Media and Creative Technology and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Screen and Media and History.
Throughout my studies, I have developed, written and directed my own short films and helped on various other students’ work. These have all been developed with no budget, only with some basic equipment and a passion for cinematic art.
I have no experience within the professional film or television industry and am looking to break in and start a career any way I can. I have plenty of experience in cinematography and directing which I’m sure will be transferable to any project but am happy to take on any role that needs filling.
I have skills in cinematography after extensive study into cinematic lighting and the art of the camera I have developed extensive technical skills and an eye for a good shot.
My experience with directing no-budget films has also given me plenty of time within each department, giving me skills in cinematography, sound, editing and performance.
While my experience is with lower-grade gear (Canon DSLRs and simple Aperture lighting kits) I am a fast learner and can quickly understand tools and hardware when needed.
