I’m working on my second career, the first having been in IT, from which I retired early. This was to enable me to get going in an industry that I am far more passionate about; making movies whether they be shorts, feature length or series.
I have been involved in above-the-line and below-the-line aspects of filmmaking over the past 15 years or so, ranging from acting, writing, directing and editing to lighting, camerawork and sound recording.
My primary focus currently is location sound recording. I have been doing so professionally for about five years. I have been the primary sound recordist on a feature film currently in distribution around the world, several short films (including one that has so far been accepted or awarded at 33 film festivals worldwide, a 44% success rate) and a handful of documentaries. In most cases I have been a one-man-band but I have a sound cart with mixer that I can use when needed.
