I am a Raglan based author, filmmaker, artist, musician, and playwright with a broad-base of experience in many mediums and categories. Specific to filmmaking, I have written and directed a low-budget science fiction movie, and produced a variety of professional and academic video features, the majority of these in the USA.
Engaged in collaborative or contracted creative services for Disney, Carnegie Mellon University, National Robotics Engineering Consortium, Chalk Hill Publishing, Science Thriller Media, National Scenic Visitors Center, WQED TV, The Magic Woods children’s show, Duquesne University, Wintec, Pittsburgh Filmmakers and others.
Wrote and directed ‘The Weapon’, a low budget science-fiction movie (2000). Wrote and directed ‘The Sherpa & the Beekeeper ~ Summit on Everest’ stage play (2022). Co-created several ‘Geoshow’ presentations for the National Scenic Visitors Center – contributions include concept, writing, animation (Adobe After Effects), sound, editing (Adobe Premiere), and final assembly & output. Storyboarding for Disney and the NZ short film ‘Slingshot’ by David Hansen (2015). Employed professionally for many years by Carnegie Mellon University (Senior Media Designer) and Duquesne University, co-producing several long and short form digital videos (editing, effects, assembly, output). Also versed in prop making, staging, and associated film, video, and theatrical components. Founding member of the Raglan Writer’s Collective / Inkspillers. Award-winning author (Everest Rising – 2017).
